Configure screenshot formats and filename templates, capture subtitle-inclusive frames, and inspect complete media metadata.
Screenshot settings
mpvRx can save PNG, JPEG, and supported WebP output. Settings include lossy quality, PNG compression, WebP lossless mode, filename template, and whether rendered subtitles are included.
Native mpv capture is attempted first. Compatible formats can fall back to an Android image conversion path when native output is unavailable.
Screenshots are saved under the Pictures media collection in the mpvSnaps folder on modern Android versions.

Default template:
mpv_snapshot_%Y%m%d_%H%M%SInvalid filename characters are replaced, excess whitespace is normalized, and generated names are capped to a safe length.

Media information
The media information view organizes parsed metadata by kind:
- Container/general details and system path
- Video, audio, text/subtitle, image, and other tracks
- Programs, timecode tracks, and MKV attachments
- Raw MediaInfo report
Images and embedded cover art receive image-specific fields such as resolution, format, bit depth, color space, compression, and orientation. Tap a value to open its complete selectable text and copy it without truncation.
Use the Raw tab when preparing a codec/container report, but review paths, titles, server URLs, and tags for private information before sharing it.
